# Using it with GramproKit

> Build screens with GramproKit components: install the agent skill and the MCP server, then ask for a page and let the agent check its own JSX against the real API.

GBS SE Agent · Guides · Source: https://kit.gramproindia.com/se-agent/with-gramprokit · Code: https://github.com/gramproindia/agent

GBS SE Agent and GramproKit are built to work together. The
[agent skill](https://kit.gramproindia.com/agent-skill) tells the agent the library exists and how to use
it; the [MCP server](https://kit.gramproindia.com/mcp-server) answers its questions about each component's
real props and checks the JSX it writes. Either helps alone. Together, the
agent reaches for the tools without being told.

## 1. Add the skill

In your project:

```bash
npx @grampro/kit skill
```

That writes `.gbs/skills/gbs-components/`, which this agent reads with no other
setup. The first time you send a request, it asks once whether to use skills
from the repository; choose **Use them**.

## 2. Add the MCP server

```bash
npx @grampro/kit mcp install
```

That writes `.mcp.json` at the project root, which this agent reads too. On
your next request it asks whether to start the server, showing the command it
will run; choose **Start them**.

Check it is running with `/mcp`. You should see `grampro` with seven tools:
`list_components`, `get_component`, `get_example`, `get_guidance`,
`figma_frame`, `install_component` and `validate_usage`.

>
> MCP support ships in the release after 0.0.13. Until then, the skill alone
> already steers the agent to the right components and import paths.

## 3. Ask for a screen

> Build a customers page with a DataGrid of name, email and plan, a search
> input above it, and a dialog to add a customer. Use GramproKit components and
> check the JSX with validate_usage before you finish.

A typical turn:

1. The agent loads the `gbs-components` skill (a **Skill** row).
2. It calls `get_component` for DataGrid, Input and Dialog to read their props,
   approving each call or using **Always allow** for that tool.
3. It installs the components it needs with `install_component`. The files are
   copied into your project; review them with git, since an MCP tool's writes
   are not in the turn's undo.
4. It writes the page, then calls `validate_usage` on its own JSX and fixes
   anything it invented.

## From a Figma design

Paste a Figma frame URL into the request:

> Build this screen with GramproKit: https://www.figma.com/design/…?node-id=…

`figma_frame` reads the frame's structure, text and theme variables, and the
agent maps the regions to components. It needs a Figma token; see the
[MCP server page](https://kit.gramproindia.com/mcp-server) for storing one and for the plugin route that
needs no token.

## Tips

- Set the permission mode to **Auto-edit** and use **Always allow** for the
  read-only tools (`get_component`, `get_example`, `get_guidance`,
  `validate_usage`), so only installs and commands ask.
- If you use a small local model, mention the components by name in the
  request. Fewer choices means fewer wrong turns.
